This vehicle came into us with a warning light on the dash board. The vehicle was throwing a fault for the oxygen sensor heater on bank 1.
Closer inspection found someone had been in here before and repaired the wiring to the sensor with crimp and shrink connectors.
Checking the connector for power, signals and grounds found we had no ground to the plug. A quick check of the wires and previous repair and the ground wire fell out of the repaired section. We stripped this and repaired with a fully soldered connection. Re connected everything and tested again. Once we had confirmed the fault was fixed we wrapped and secured the wiring to the vehicle and carried out a road test.
Not all diagnostic jobs go this well and can sometimes take time and research to find the cause of the fault before fitting parts. This time we just got lucky!
